Marcela Gjoni was born in Zagreb and educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and Saint Petersburg. She began exhibiting during her studies, holding numerous solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally. Her latest exhibition took place in 2013 at Zagreb’s Greta Gallery, and she is currently preparing a new project. In February 2016, her theoretical article on Ingres and Freud was published in the journal Kontura.
