Miha Majes (1993, Jesenice) is an emerging Slovene visual artist. His work is mainly focused on the mediums of painting, sculpture, and installation. He graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Painting in 2019 and earned his parallel Masters degrees in Painting and Graphic Arts in 2022 and 2023. Currently, he is continuing his studies in the field of Fine Arts at the Doctoral level at the same academy.

His work brings into play a huge variety of themes, materials, and concepts. His visual language is a millennial take on pop (art) influences in late-stage capitalism. Through the use of popular iconography, Majes brings into question his own personal myths, influenced by his upbringing in rural Slovenia. Majes also defines the visual language of his work as the appropriation of the aesthetics of consumerism to address the lack of authenticity and critical thought in current society. He has participated in exhibitions, artistic projects, fairs, and residencies at home and abroad. Miha Majes lives and works in Slovenia.
